ATLANTA — Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley pauses for a second before rattling off sides for each of his family members heading into Monday night’s championship game.

There are his two youngest brothers, they’ll be rooting for Georgia. There’s a couple of other close friends and relatives who will be supporting the Bulldogs as well. His girlfriend will definitely be pulling for Alabama, while his mom is stuck in the middle.

Finally, he gives up.

“I don’t know, everybody’s happy, so I don’t care,” Ridley says in exasperation. “I want us to win, so that’s all that I can say.”

This is uncharted territory for the Ridleys, who must now choose between Calvin and his brother Riley, who plays receiver for Georgia. The two will meet Monday night as No. 4 Alabama plays No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game at 7 p.m. inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
