Alabama No. 1 in first edition of BCS rankings

Alabama sat atop the college football world in January.

The BCS rankings are back, and the Crimson Tide hasn't gone anywhere.

Alabama (7-0, 4-0 SEC) is ranked No. 1 in the first edition of the BCS standings released on Sunday night.

Alabama is followed by Florida State at No. 2, Oregon at No. 3 and Ohio State at No. 4. Missouri, which leads the SEC East with a 7-0 record, sits at No. 5.

Stanford is at No. 6 followed by Miami, Baylor, Clemson and Texas Tech rounding out the top 10.

Alabama takes on Tennessee at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
