Tide baseball's Fan Day set for Saturday

TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama baseball team wants fans to come out Saturday afternoon to help the Crimson Tide get ready for its upcoming season opener.

The Alabama Baseball Fan Appreciation Day will from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, beginning immediately after the Alabama men's basketball game against Tennessee.

Fans will have a chance to meet the 2013 team, talk with UA coaches Mitch Gaspard, Dax Norris and Andy Phillips, and tour Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The coaches will host a question-and-answer session from 2:45-3:15.

Fans in attendance will also get two free tickets for Alabama's season-opening series against Virginia Military Institute, Feb. 15-17.

Team members will sign autographs and fans can participate in raffle drawings for prizes, including season tickets.

Parking is available in the parking lot behind the left field fence. Fans not attending the Alabama-Tennessee men's basketball game are encouraged to arrive after 2:15 p.m., to avoid traffic congestion. For more information, please call (205) 348-6179.
