Anderson, Lee out on curfew violation
FORT LAUDERDALE | Two University of Alabama football players were sent home Friday by UA coach Nick Saban for a curfew violation, and Tidesports.com has learned the players were Ryan Anderson and Dillon Lee, both freshman linebackers. The players were in the South Beach area near the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel, where the team is staying, and missed the team curfew check sometime during the week.
UA coach Nick Saban issued a statement through UA media relations, but provided no further detail.
"We sent two players home due to a curfew violation," Saban said.
Both were redshirting in 2012, though Lee played sparingly early in the season. Neither was expected to play in Monday's BCS National Championship Game against Notre Dame.
Both were at practice Friday.
