After his camp performance however, Forehand had grabbed the attention of many, including Auburn.
Forehand left that day with the Offensive Lineman MVP Award, as he consistently dominated his opponents, working mostly at left tackle during the camp.
"I came in not really expecting that award, but started going through the day and felt really good about myself," Forehand said.
Interest is now beginning to pick up for the 6-foot-5, 270-pound tackle as he visited Mississippi State on Monday, and attended the Southern Mississippi camp recently as well. Forehand also received an offer from Jacksonville State this week.
"I'm starting to pick up interest a good bit now," Forehand said.
Forehand is now preparing for a big day on Sunday, as he will travel to Auburn to camp, and hopefully impress the coaches enough to take his recruitment to the next level.
"I think it has picked up recently," said Forehand. "I'm really looking forward to the camp and hopefully that could be a big turning point for Auburn."
Auburn offensive line coach Jeff Grimes has been in contact with Forehand, and has said to Forehand that his physical nature is an attribute that stands out.
"I really like coach Grimes a lot, he's very personable," said Forehand.
In addition to visiting Mississippi State and Southern Miss recently, Forehand said he also visited Tennessee last Saturday.
As for the Auburn camp, Forehand knows the opportunity is there, and plans on making an impression.
"I just want to dominate and be the one everyone looks at," Forehand said. "I'm sure I'm a sleeper coming into the camp, but I want to surprise some people and get Auburn's attention."
