Another Walters at linebacker?
Zeke Walters knows the feeling of playing alongside his older brother, Mississippi State linebacker Bo Walters.
The two spent two seasons playing together at Briarwood Christian in Birmingham, Ala., leading the Lions to a 14-1 record and the Class 5A state title game in 2007 both as starters.
The brothers could be reunited at the next level if Mississippi State does indeed offer the 6-foot-4, 230-pound wide receiver/ outside linebacker.
"Personally I would love to play with my brother," Walters said. "I realize that Mississippi State has got my brother and that could be a big factor but he's only going to be there two years while I am there. It would be a dream come true to play with my brother but on the other hand I'm still going to look at other colleges. I know Bo loves Mississippi State but I don't know what school is the place for me. If it happens to be where my brother is it would just be an extra bonus. That would be awesome to play with your brother and be at the same school that you really want to be at."
The Bulldogs signed Bo as a three-star linebacker as part of the 2008 class. Zeke watched and learned from his brother's experiences with recruiting but still seeks guidance about the process.
"We are really close," Walters said. "We are best friends. It was neat to watch him go through everything and now I can ask him for advice. He told me not to worry about stuff just leave it in God's hands. He just put it in God's hands and it worked out. He didn't worry about it so that's what I am trying to do."
Walters will be on the Starkville campus on Friday night participating in the Big Dawg Camp at Davis Wade Stadium. He has already made one camp appearance at MSU this summer and feels the Bulldogs could be close to offering him.
