Hard hitting 2010 Safety likes four early

Many coaches have already stopped in at Newnan High School to check on who could be one of the top safeties in the class of 2010. Alec Ogletree still has two years to go in high school, but he has great size, he loves to hit, he is aggressive, and he is already on the radar of a number of schools.

The attention really started this spring and he looks back on his abbreviated time on the Newnan practice field.

"I think I had a good spring," Ogletree said. "I missed a few days early on because of the state track meet, but I think I did real well that second week."

"I was working on breaking quicker on the ball, being a better tackler, and things like that. I think I did well and I think I am better now."

A number of college coaches were in Newnan (GA) to see the physical safety at work over the last month. Ogletree can't remember them all, but the ones he remembers are top programs.

"Miami, Georgia, Clemson, and Virginia Tech are the ones I can remember, but some others stopped by too. Some watched me practice and some just stopped by the school to talk with my coach about me."
