Huffman duo watches UA rout

Perhaps the biggest teammate duo in the state of Alabama arrived in Tuscaloosa Saturday to watch the Alabama-Tennessee game as Huffman's Marcel Dareus and Greg McGrue took in the Tide's rout of the Volunteers. Both are prospects that are being watched carefully by the Tide coaching staff, particularly the 6-foot-4, 277-pound Dareus who has enjoyed a dominating senior year.

"The Alabama coaches want to see my next test score," said Dareus, who is a three-star recruit per Rivals. "I need to improve a few points, but I am working hard to make sure I get the score I need.

Dareus is working hard on his academic issues while also dealing with some off-the-field trouble that has plagued the Huffman program.

Last week, Huffman coach Alan Plump found out that his Vikings were forced to forfeit four games, dropping their record from 6-2 to 2-6 and likely eliminating them from the playoffs.
