Barrett Jones talks Knoxville visit
Phillip Fulmer and his staff put an enormous amount of effort into getting ready for this weekend's scrimmage. But with Memphis offensive line prospect Barrett Jones in Knoxville for an unofficial visit on Saturday, the head coach changed hats and went into recruiting mode for a good portion of the weekend.
Jones (6-foot-5, 271 pounds, 4.9 40-yard dash) has been to Tennessee on numerous occasions as a prospect, including a handful of games.
Jones, the top-rated player in the state this year, made a significant jump in the most recent Rivals.com rankings. He's currently rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 9 offensive tackle prospect in the nation and the No. 55 overall player in the Class of 2008.
