Bolton leaves Columbia impressed
Norcross (Ga.) three-star wide receiver Devonta Bolton, the No. 23 prospect overall in the Peach State's class of 2008, got his first taste of what the South Carolina Gamecocks have to offer when he and his family traveled to Columbia for an unofficial visit.
"My parents and I got to Columbia Friday night and spent the night, and then we went over the campus on Saturday morning," the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Bolton said. "We spent most of the day there, and I liked it a lot. It was a very nice visit."
Bolton, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, liked what he saw from the South Carolina campus and their facilities.
"The campus surprised me with how nice it was," he said. "We saw a lot of the classroom buildings, like the business school, and went to see the fraternity houses and things like that. Then we came over to the stadium and saw the weight room and the meeting room. They also told us about some of the new facilities they're going to be building soon. All of it looked very nice."
