FSU in the mix for nation's top receiver?
NOTE: Warchant.com confirmed that Jones made a brief visit to FSU on Thursday afternoon but that was prior to this update being written. Jones has been contacted but has not returned calls since the visit.
When you have a player as good as Julio Jones, it's hard not to recruit him. But as a native of Alabama, right away, you would think the five-star receiver is a lock to play for the Crimson Tide or the Auburn Tigers. But the Rivals100 receiver isn't ready to pull the trigger on an in-state commitment just yet. He wants to check out the rest of the ACC and SEC before deciding on the right place for him.
"I know growing up in the state of Alabama, there is a strong allegiance to either an Alabama or Auburn fan," said Foley High School Head Coach Todd Watson. "I can't tell you which one he grew up being. I'm sure the schools in state are making a strong push for him as well, it'll be a battle to the end.
