Some Love for UT?

It's no secret that the Texas Longhorns are in need of talented offensive tackle recruits. Just last month, the Longhorn program lost two players that were expected to be the team's top back-ups for the 2007-08 season, and the Texas coaching staff is now faced with the situation of having to rely on some true freshmen to add depth along the line.

While that's not exactly an ideal position that any coach in America would like, the story does have a potential positive spin. With such a limited number of tackles on campus, it should make the prospect of playing for Texas a relatively easy recruiting pitch for the Longhorn coaches.

Just this week, Texas made contact with one of the country's top offensive linemen, and the Horns have seemed to immediately get their foot in the door.

Mountain Brook (AL) five-star tackle Tyler Love received some correspondence from the Texas staff on Monday, which caught the 6-foot-7, 285-pounder by surprise.

With the Longhorns now showing an interest, Love has extended his list of favorites that previously included Alabama Florida, Georgia, Florida State and Oklahoma.
