4-star QB wants to see ISU offense

High school prospects will be watching closely this fall to see exactly what Gene Chizik's new offense at Iowa State will look like. Players like Lake Worth (Fla.) dual-threat quarterback Star Jackson - a Rivals.com four-star talent - will be looking to see how they would fit into the new Cyclone scheme and just how effective it is in Big 12 play.

He was offered by the Cyclones earlier in the process and is familiar with the offense they ran last year. "I paid attention to them a lot last year and they have a nice, young team coming back," said Jackson. "They have a nice quarterback that kind of fits my description - tall guy, athletic - and I can kind of see myself there."

At this stage of the process, Jackson claims no leaders and will be analyzing Iowa State and the other offers he holds in the next couple months.
