Ray keeping a close eye on recruiting

Most high school football players in Florida just wrapped up their spring practice with an exhibition game or jamboree. For Tallahassee (FL) North Florida Christian wide receiver Melvin Ray, he was simply another bystander as the Eagles wrapped up their spring against Florida High.

"I didn't get to play in my spring game," Ray said. "It was frustrating because the only thing that held me back from playing was that my old school wouldn't sign a waiver. It was frustrating because it wouldn't allow me to finish up basketball season. I couldn't play during the baseball season. Then I couldn't play football. Instead of letting it simply frustrate me though, I took that time to get bigger, stronger, and faster and prepare myself for next year and after. I have something prove next year."
