Peach state star picks up UA offer

It would be incorrect to say that Norcross receiver Devonta Bolton plays in the shadow of teammate Brice Butler. That's because Bolton's offer list is creating some shadows of its own.

After picking up recent offers from Virginia Tech and Miami, Bolton, 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, attended the Alabama A-Day scrimmage and picked up some good news from Tide coach Nick Saban.

"Coach Saban talked to me for a long time and told me that he had an offer for me," said Bolton, who while sharing time with Butler and 2007 UA signee Darius Hanks at receiver led Norcross to a perfect regular season record in 2006. "He told me that he likes my height advantage and wants me to create mismatches against smaller defensive backs."
