NOTES: Schools calling Patchan

The phone calls continue to pour in for the Southeast's top recruits. Rivals pre-evaluation top 100 lineman Matt Patchan received four phone calls Sunday night, the first night college coaches were able to phone prospects.

"I got four calls (Sunday)," Patchan said. "Ole Miss, Auburn, South Florida and Miami (Fla.)."

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound offensive tackle/defensive end is one of the top overall prospects in the Sunshine State for the Class of 2008.

Patchan, who has more than 40 written scholarship offers, is wide open with regards to his college choice. His father, also named Matt, played at Miami and the family also has connections to Ole Miss through Rebels offensive line coach Art Kehoe, who used to coach for the Hurricanes.
