Green can imagine himself at LSU

LSU just missed out on signing the nation's top player in February, as talented John Curtis tailback chose instead to sign on the dotted line at USC. But big time recruits flow like wine at the famed River Ridge high school, and now cornerback Robby Green (6-0, 175) is on the Tiger coaching staff's radar.

Running Backs Coach Larry Porter is keeping in close contact with Green, hoping to keep one of the state's more talented defensive players within the borders come 2008.

"He said they are looking for some people in the secondary, and I could help out," said Green, who spoke with Porter on Thursday. "But really we talk about simple things, just working on that coach-player relationship."
