Top in-state LB high on Auburn after visit
Auburn hosted approximately 150 recruits Saturday for its first Junior Day of the spring. However, Gadsden (Ala.) City LB Jerrell Harris wasn't one of them.
That's because the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder got a headstart on the weekend. Harris instead made a trip to the Plains on Friday where he toured the campus and facilities, talked to the Auburn coaches and took in the Tigers' afternoon practice.
"It went great. I loved it down there. I loved the campus
everything was good," said Harris. "We got down there around 11:30, walked around and talked with the academic counselors. They showed us the classrooms and academic center.
"I talked to the coaches for a while and then went out for practice. The practice was intense, up-tempo. There was a lot of hitting."
