Alabama loses at Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. | The polar vortex has departed, but the conditions in Stegeman Coliseum remained the same for the University of Alabama basketball team on Saturday.
Chilly and foul.
Alabama shot under 40 percent from the field and sent Georgia to the foul line 44 times as the Crimson Tide lost its Southeastern Conference road opener to the Bulldogs, 66-58.
Georgia (8-6, 2-0 SEC) made just four field goals in the second half but went to the foul line 34 times, and a total of 44 in the game, scoring 31 points on foul shots.
