Amari Cooper resolved for better 2014

NEW ORLEANS | Amari Cooper never encountered a defender last season who could shut him down.

The University of Alabama's wide receiver from Miami earned Freshman All-America status in 2012, setting rookie school records for receptions (59) and receiving yards (1,000) while also establishing a UA record with 11 touchdown catches.

This year, Cooper has found two opponents who have been able to humble him: injuries and expectations.

The 6-foot-1, 202-pound sophomore has averaged 17.1 yards per catch, but his 615 receiving yards on 36 receptions with four touchdowns were below what many, including Cooper himself, expected.
