Bowl win would cap amazing career for AJ McCarron
NEW ORLEANS | All that remains to pen the final words of AJ McCarron's collegiate career is 60 minutes in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday evening.
So perhaps now is as fitting a time as any to consider the University of Alabama senior quarterback's place in program history.
There have been more talented quarterbacks to wear the crimson and white. Joe Namath had a quicker release and a better arm. Ken Stabler and Steadman Shealy were better athletes, Stabler carrying the improvisational skills that elude McCarron.
