Sooners After More than One Brenham Cub

Austin Schlottman was one of many 2014 prospects from the state of Texas in attendance at the Sooners first junior day back on Feb. 2. The 6-foot-5 and 285-pound offensive tackle prospect out of Brenham, Texas came up to Norman with his parents. The junior Cub said he had a lot of fun during his visit and the closeness of everything grabbed his attention.

"It was very nice," Schlottman said about Oklahoma. "I liked it. I just liked how close everything was together and the quality of everything was awesome."

Leading up to now Schlottman had been staying in touch with, now former, offensive guards/centers coach, James Patton, who announced this morning he would be taking a job at Indiana. Even though it won't be Patton, the Sooners let Schlottman know they would be by in the spring at some point to evaluate him some more.

"They were just talking about just coming and watching me in the spring and offseason and just watch us run around a little bit. That's what they kept referring to whenever they talked about that," he said when talking about where he stands with OU and an offer.

After his visit Oklahoma is up with some of Schlottman's favorites but he is planning to take his time and give multiple schools a look.
