One of the biggest names at Ohio State's junior day on Sunday was Hilliard (Ohio) Darby athlete Caleb Day. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect was one of the first class of 2013 prospects offered by the old regime and Sunday provided Day with an opportunity to meet with the new members of the coaching staff for the first time.

"It was nice," said Day. "I got to see some parts of the campus that I hadn't really seen before. I had a couple of questions and got most of them answered. I met with the coaches and they were really nice. I was with coach (Everett) Withers most of the day and he's pretty cool. I talked to coach Urban (Meyer) too and he's a nice guy, it's a good coaching staff."

Though it was not Day's first time on campus or around the athletic facilities, he was still impressed by what he saw.

"We took a bus tour of the campus and got to see some sites," he said. "I've been in the athletic center but there are a whole bunch of pools and basketball courts so that was nice. I went into the locker room and that was nice, too."

Recently there have been questions about the status of Day's offer from Ohio State but the versatile prospect says those were cleared up recently by his main recruiter.

"Actually a week before the junior day I called coach (Luke) Fickell and I asked him if the offer was still available and he said that it was," Day explained. "They're still as interested in me as they were before and that's pretty much it. I didn't really talk about it today."

Day was one of the stars of last June's two-day underclassmen camp at Ohio State and he's looking forward to participating at Ohio State's senior camp this summer.

"I'm going to camp (at Ohio State in June)," he said. "Coach Urban and I talked about it. He was expecting me to go as a safety or corner but since I went to the last camp as a corner, I told him that this camp I would like to go as a receiver. I'd like to show my skills and let them see what I can do on the offensive side."

"I think he was a little surprised by that, I could see him smile a little bit." Day continued. "I want to show them that I'm also athletic enough to do it on both sides of the ball."

Day is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
