Castro: Oregon trip went perfect

Some recruiting visit weekends pay off more than others. For the Oregon Ducks, the October 14th weekend proved highly successful. For Murrieta, California's Jeremy Castro, it proved to be a turning point in his college future.

Jeremy Castro's weekend in Eugene began on the morning of the Arizona state game. "I showed up on Saturday morning," began Castor. "It all went perfect."

Originally committed to the University of Washington, the nation's 21st ranked defensive end found too much to like about the University of Oregon to resist.

"The Ducks have always been by number one," said Castro. "I finally got up to see the place and I loved it. I fell in love with the facilities and the academics. Really the surroundings too, I've never been to such a beautiful place like that."

The four-star rated recruit was quite impressed by the game experience itself. "Oh my gosh, they have the best fan base. I have never seen so much support at a football game before."

Castro focused much of his attention during the game on the drop defensive end position. "I watched the defensive line. You know Dion Jordan? That's the position I'll be playing when I get up there. I thought the defense played physical and fast. They play relentless football."
