Bafaro still looking
One of the hottest targets on Oregon's board right now is home grown talent Brett Bafaro. The 6-foot-2, 220 pounder from Hillsboro, Oregon has seen his interest soar as of late and for Bafaro it is making his decision process a little bit more complicated. Duck Sports Authority recently spoke to him to find out more about his summer and what schools are starting to enter the picture.
"I'm hearing from every Pac-12 school besides UCLA and USC. Outside of the Pac-12 I have Boise State, Idaho, Eastern Washington and PSU (Portland State).
"It's going pretty steady," he continued. "A lot of the schools I've been hearing from I finally picked up offers. My most recent ones are Oregon, Oregon State and Washington."
Bafaro plays with power and is the anchor in the defense for Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. His strength allows him to either discard blockers or simply blow through them to get to the ball. Once he gets a line to the ball carrier he is relentless in his pursuit and seldom fails to make the stop. His athleticism keeps him on the field on offense as well where he plays running back but with more of the mentality of a fullback. With 4.6 40 speed he isn't going to outrun everyone but he is a load to take down once you do catch him. He has good hands out of the backfield as well and that could be a nice asset when dropping into coverage at the next level.
