FSU gets commitment No. 11

Last year, Florida State landed a very key part to their already highly rated recruiting class by adding the no. 1 tight end in the country Nick O'Leary. The 'Noles didn't slow down at that position in 2012 as Warchant.com has confirmed that another top standout has committed to playing at FSU. Warchant.com has the breaking news on the 11th commitment for the 2012 class.

After his first visit to Florida State Lutheran High school (Orange, CA) standout Christo Kourtzidis had a strong vibe about that FSU was where he wants to be for the next four years. On June 15th the 6-foot-4, 230 pound tight end made those feelings official to Warchant.com.

Among many of the reasons he chose Florida State was certainly the very strong bond between Kourtzidis, and FSU tight ends coach James Coley, who is also the offensive coordinator for the Seminoles. The relationship between the two was more like a family member than a coach as Kourtzidis, Coley would talk about any subject. Naturally, one of the first calls he made in announcing his commitment was to Coley, as well as FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher. The Four-star TE talks about the calls made, and the reaction from the FSU staff?

The decision in choosing the Seminoles over Alabama, California, and Nebraska was also related to the impressions Kourtzidis had with how he could fit into the Florida State offense, but also from a student perspective he just had a feeling of being at home when he was on the campus in Tallahassee?

With his decision now out of the way Kourtzidis can now focus on his senior season. In addition, Kourtzidis will also be making his 2nd visit to Florida State next when he drops in on June 20th-23rd to get an even better feel for what will be his new home in college. Kourtzidis breaks down that visit and talks about whether he will take anymore trips?
