Darlington Ready to Cut List to 'Five or Six'
It was almost a year ago to the day that Ty Darlington became a name for Sooner fans to remember after a massive performance at Oklahoma's annual early June Summer camp. Since putting in the work that led to the Sooner coaches quickly extending a scholarship offer the 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect has watched his offer list explode and has found himself as the No. 118 player in the country according to Rivals.com
Darlington, a member of the national honor society, has understandably been busy with high level classes as well as the May recruiting window and as such hasn't spoken much publicly about his decision however that's not to say that things aren't starting to draw near a close.
"That's sort of what I felt spring was for, spring practices, coaches can call me. I'm hoping to cut my list down in the next week. I haven't through a lot about when I'll do it but I want to try and cut it down to five or six," Darlington said. "Honestly going into spring I had an idea of who the five or six would be, but I wanted to keep it open through the spring period and go into the summer try and cut it down a little bit.
"It's not like I'm just now deciding, it kind of happens through the year. I'm trying to get close to making a decision."
