In-state interest picking up for Knight
Though he resides in the backyards of both schools, Detroit County Day wide receiver Kenny Knight (6-4, 190) is yet to receive an offer from Michigan State or Michigan, while Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Bowling Green have all offered.
But in speaking with Knight, he doesn't seem worried about the Spartans and Wolverines taking their time with his recruitment, and, in fact, both programs recently caught up with him and brought him up to speed on where they stand.
"I've been hearing a lot from Michigan State. They dropped by my school (on Monday) just to say hi, just a quick visit. We just said hello and I had to keep walking by," Knight told SpartanMag.com earlier this week. "It's really started to heat up lately, because with the spring evaluation period open, they're really trying to utilize the players in Michigan that are still uncommitted and trying to grab these kids. I've had a close relationship with Michigan State for a while now, and they are really trying to pick back up and it's really exciting to see them come back into the picture."
Knight said the same can be said for the Wolverines, in regards to their interest picking back up as well. He also indicated Iowa and Stanford recently entered his recruiting picture.
