I passed 2 years ago. Becker is the route to go. I don't remember the type of questions, but I do remember seeing a lot of the same study questions from the CD on the exam. I think I passed right before they added IFRS so I'm not much help there. I took financial the Monday after we came back to beat the barn in Jordan-Hare in 2009 and made a 68. A few months later I made a 84. My study habits were the key. I didn't prep like I should have the first time. I'm in tax so I had to study a bit harder for financial. I really don't think there are many short cuts. Are you doing the live becker lectures. Typically the instructor tells you what to study and what to ignore. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Yeah, I'm doing the videos lectures and following along in the book. Its just a lot of material, crazy. It's like three college courses rolled up into a 6 week self study course and a cummalative final at the end.
