Originally posted by BCtider: KansasKansas, I was the one who posted I would not be surprised to see Ryan beat out Dickson and Hubbard although it probably won't happen. Watching his video in the All Star game and in the practices Anderson just dominated everybody he went up against. He bullrushed some offensive tackles and pushed them all the way back to the QB or he put a move on them and got by them with relative ease. No matter who starts, we have a lot of talent between the three of them at the jack linebacker position so it's all good. RTR !
Not taking you to task or anything--I've said the same thing. It's an open competition, and, as I've said before, Hubbard hasn't been as impressive as I thought he'd be. Anderson definitely plays like a guy with something to prove, and I like that. In fact, I think it's the exact quality Hubbard is lacking. I'm really just commenting on the fact that Anderson is not the specimen I was expecting. A friend who saw him in person said he's closer to 6'1, and in this photo he appears to be carrying some bad weight. Once he gets his flu shot I'm sure he'll be a killer for us
