This may have been addressed and if so, excuse me.  But this is a premium site, no?  Why am I bombarded with Obama ads every time I come to the forum?  I can tolerate Alabama sports related ads for an Alabama sports related forum but these political ads are not cool.

It is advertising, it goes to whoever buys it, just like television or radio. You don't have to click on it, or read it.  

You missed my point.  I PAY to come here, not be bombarded by ads, any ads.  The Obama ads just made me think about it more because I'm not a supporter.  You're right.  i don't have to click on it or read it but I can't help but SEE it.  At least facebook (free, by the way) gives you an opportunity to block certain ads.

Does HBO have commercials except for their own programming?  HBO is a PREMIUM channel.  I think we might be getting a little short-changed here, that's all.

Pretty sure you wouldn't have complained had the ads been for Hooter's, Budweiser, or fishing lures.  Because it said Obama you felt the need to complain.  You all but admitted it in this post.

I agree 100 percent denny chimes. I posted about this earlier and the obama lovers on this website got mad.

There are plenty of things you pay for where you will be bombarded with ads.  Cable TV, football games, concerts, airplanes, movies etc. Almost any form of entertainment, even HBO has ads, they are just generally ads for other HBO programs or ads you don't notice (product placement). The pervasiveness of it is annoying though.  Probably the most effective way to protest it would be to cancel your membership. 

As for Obama's ads, seems to me like the banner ads running on an Alabama website are an extremely poor use of his resources.  If anything people who don't like Obama should be happy his campaign is wasting funds on a lost cause here with Alabama voters.  Of course, those ads are probably rivals wide so they probably appear on Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina boards to but he is paying for the Bama ads as well. 

Yep, nothing gets by you, does it?  I totally admitted I'm not an Obama supporter but the bigger problem is the ads themselves on a premium site.  I'm "pretty sure" I complained about that too.  

Now, about the issue you really want to discuss...When you grow up and have to pay taxes, you'll understand why I and the other "1 percent" (LOL) can't get behind Obama. He's in over his head and thankfully, being properly vetted this election cycle. Open your eyes my friend and do the research.  If you're too lazy or busy, check out Bill Whittle and his "Afterburner" series on youtube.  Don't just accept it.  Verify what is being said, from both parties, and make informed decisions about your future. This is a critical juncture in American history.
