The 11-0 Union Titans were locked in a battle with the visiting 11-0 Ferndale Golden Eagles in a WIAA 3A State Quarterfinals matchup. The game was tied at 14 with only 14 seconds remaining. After a Ferndale time out, the Golden Eagles lined up for the game winning field goal. The over 4,000 fans at McKenzie Stadium stood in silence, then it happened.

Matthew is the Highland High School Quarterback that was critically injured at the start of the regular season. He had a severe blow and was rushed to the hospital. 

It has been 8 harrowing weeks.  His battle continues and he needs our support.  There is too much to say here other then Get Involved.  This is a great kid with a great will.

Last season, Skyview High School out of Vancouver Washington, finished as 4A Greater St. Helens League co-champions, won a home preliminary round game, then hosted a game in the first round of the WIAA state playoffs. There was only one problem, they lost.
