Kenai reclaimed the state championship trophy to stop SoHi's consecutive championship run. Coach Jensen revived the Bartlett Golden Bears the second half of the season to take home the state trophy. As a result of the new conference playoff format, we see the 3A Northern Lights Conference is the dominate conference with all four teams advancing to the next round of semi's. In the 4A conference prepare for a heavyweight clash, North Pole vs. Bartlett, the highlight game of the weekend. This has the makings of being a high scoring explosive game with lots of excitement. 3A Kenai and 4A Bartlett advances to the championship game next Saturday. In Anchorage, both South and West came out flat and didn't look ready to play. And with the new postseason playoff format, one conference dominated the first round.
