As expected, Troopa's antics cost aubarn another stud recruit. Shocking.

I'm also shocked that moby hasn't identified his HS coach as secretly being a Bammer. Speaking of moby, did he actually claim he has Billy of all people on Ignore? Hell Billy is about the only Bammer other than Gator that still treats the old fart with kid gloves.

Oh and BTW, HONK you totally shat the bed on your prediction that Robinson would be ruled eligible, and you know it. I get it, you were trying to show off for your +1 Chromosome Twin, but it backfired. That's why you got embarrassed and snapped at 1137. Pretty funny, actually.

For the second year in a row, it looks like the jewel of aubarn's recruiting class likely will never make it to the Plains.

Last year every barner fell in love with Zeke Pike. Kid shot his mouth off so much that even Troopa had to tell him to shut up. Then he apparently had issues with the law, and ended up getting kicked out of aubarn.

Now Dee Liner seems to be following the same path. He's already gotten in trouble with the law multiple times, and now there are rumors that he's been kicked off his HS football team.

barner pals, starting to see a pattern yet?

Alabama's recruiting pitch has never waivered: Come to Bama, work your butt off, and you'll get a chance to play. Play well, and you'll get a chance to start. Play exceptionally well, and you have a chance to go to the pros and be a millionaire. Either way, you will win 1-2 NC rings, and you will be asked to work for it.

As a result, Saban is not only attracting some of the top kids in the nation, like Amari Cooper and TJ Yeldon, but he's getting them on campus in January, they are busting their butts in the Spring, and they come into the Fall as solid backups, and both will likely be starters are true sophmores.

Likewise, aubarn's recruiting pitch has never waivered: Come to aubarn, have fun, show yo swagga, we all family here, brah! Forget Bama, they too uptight and all business. We family fun!

The results speak for themselves. Bama has a business culture in place that's produced 2 NCs in 3 years, the same number of NCs that aubarn's culture has taken 120 years to produce. As the number of NCs accumulate in Tuscaloosa, the number of arrests accumulate in Opelika.

BTW barners for your final wakeup call, remember what happened to Cheatersee in its final year or 2 under fulmer? Lotsa bad recruiting choices, kids that never panned out, or worse, got in trouble and never made it onto campus, or if they did, quit/left/got booted off the team soon after they did.

Anyone remember who fulmer's recruiting coordinator was at this time?

Ballgame.

Everyone is doing preseason lists, so we need a few for the board as well. Today we'll look at the Top 5 Posters That Will Quit On Their Team This Fall If They Start Losing:

5 - aw. Give the lad credit, he started pre-emptively quitting on aubarn months ago when he decided he was also a Michigan fan. Of course, he was hedging his bets that Michigan would have a good season even if aubarn didn't. But being a sidewalker-bandwagon barner fan, he will still show up if Bama loses a big game, where some of the barner grads might still hide, so he's at the bottom of the list.

4 - xl. I laffed as xl again got called out for making sh*t up again yesterday by Broker. Typical barner hypocrisy. Like many barners, he's on edge now cause he is beginning to realize that even HE is starting to doubt the spinning about Cheezy that he's been trying to feed Bammers. When the wheels start to fall off, either this fall or next, he'll disappear, probably for good.

3 - BillD. If there was a solid shot at LSU losing more than a game or so in the reg season, he would be higher. If LSU loses to Bama, Bill might leave the board for good, his quitting the board after talking smack before the BCS game was embarrassingly epic.

2 - Cletus. Understand this: No poster on that board gets more irritated at the slightest criticism of his team or coach. I would say Cletus was safe this fall since I'm not there, but HONK has figured this out, and if Cheatersee loses a few of the games they should win early, HONK will ride Cletus unmercifully, and he might snap. Hell he quit the board for 2 weeks after Dooley choked against UNC, and that was because he didn't want to hear ME give him hell over it. It's not a coincidence that the only boards he posts on are Cheatersee boards, and the SMU board. He won't post anywhere where Cheatersee is regularly criticized or called out. If Dooley chokes against NC State and HONK rides him hard, he might leave the board for good.

1 - moby. Not even close. No poster quits on his team quicker than moby does. For an old man that constantly talks about getting out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat, no one does that faster than him. Over the past 3 years it's become so routine that it's comical: If aubarn loses, then moby disappears for the week, then slides in either late Thursday or early Friday, and starts talking smack about the NEXT game, refusing to address the previous weekend's loss, as if the game never happened. When questioned about why he was gone from Sunday-Thurs, he always offers that 'work' picked up and explains that he works 36-hour days, 10 days a week. Yet somehow...someway, in the few times Bama has lost since 2007, moby has been able to clear up 12-15 hours a day to talk smack to Bammers about it. Seriously for a man that's watched Bama beat his team for his entire life, you'd think he could handle the losses better by now.

Tomorrow we'll rank the Top 5 Posters That Will Reappear If Their Team Starts Off Strong

You know, as much fun as it is to laugh at the barners, I have to admit that sometimes it is REALLY hard to NOT pity the average aubarn fan.

Yesterday was a reminder of that.

Let's look at the story of how a Bama coach told a Bama commit that transferring to another school could help him academically vs the NCAA investigating Foster, and how the barners reacted to each.

First, the Pruitt/Paige situation. If you actually educate yourself on what happens, it seems pretty cut and dried. Paige is borderline academically. Bama coach finds another school that offers Paige the chance to take courses that his current one does not. Courses that if he passed, would improve his chances of qualifying, so coach suggests Paige transfers to that school. Paige's HS coach bitches cause he is losing a good player, and causes a stink so the NCAA and whoever else looks into it.

barner verdict: Bama is going down for this. Only possible explanation is that Bama coach is working with HS to change grades.

Now let's turn to Foster. AJC reports that NCAA is meeting with Reuben Foster over his transferring from HS in Georgia, to the shadows of Saban-Hare Stadium. barners not only say nothing to it, Barner Matthews 'reports' that Foster isn't meeting with the NCAA, but actually the ASHAA (The AJC updated their story to reflect that Barner was reporting this, but did NOT chance their claim. Apparently shytwater and bhk missed that). shytwater then adds an implication that the director of the ASHAA is a Bammer, so that's why this is happening. xl doubles-down on the stupidity, and even claims that the al.com writer that mentioned this story is also a Bammer, and trying to get aubarn.

THIS is why aubarn always has been, and always will be the most penalized program in the history of the SEC. Because 99% of aubarn fans are convinced that aubarn HAS NEVER CHEATED. Seriously, ask any old-timer barner like moby and derek and they will immediately and passionately claim that aubarn NEVER cheated under Shug Jordan, and all will reference the claim that 'when the NCAA went to Tuscaloosa, Bear would send them to aubarn!!!!'

The 1% of the barners that will admit that aubarn cheats, will immediately follow it up with 'but Bama does too, so we are just keeping up'. IOW, the cheating 'doesn't count' if the barners can convince themselves that Big Bro does too, and thusly they HAD to cheat to 'keep up'.

Lord. No guys, you keep getting busted for cheating because you KEEP CHEATING! No one forced you to hire multiple coaches to your staff that have been cited multiple times for recruiting violations throughout their careers. And shockingly...aubarn has had multiple NCAA investigations into its recruiting since Cheezy was hired, and since he hired his staff.

aubarn is the perennial victim. None of this is their fault. They never cheat, and when they do, someone else MADE them.

As I said, it's easy to laugh at such fans, but sometimes it's damn hard not to pity them as well.

Oh the board is simply comedic gold this morning!

First, Percy and Bufford continue to delight. Earlier this week they were convinced that a Bama coach telling a commit that transferring to Foley where their scheduling allows him to take 2 more classes as a SR vs his current HS and these two classes could be enough to get him eligible DEFINITELY is an NCAA violation that will bring Bama down.

Obviously.

But now that a Memphis teacher has resigned and admitted that he falsified Robinson's transcript and that the NCAA is investigating....well there's nothing to see here, let's keep the line moving! Too funny, and the panic from fear is especially amusing, boy must have started 30 threads in the past 24 hours, each with a different explanation for why aubarn is clean here.

So why all the sweaty palms? As I said, too funny.

And then there's poor Cletus. I mean a day after Cletus tried to spin that HONK and Fear were the two dumbest Rivals posters...Cletus spends the morning going from thread to thread letting them kick his fatty. Classic. It's like seeing the Three Stooges try to give each other wedgies and eye-pokes at the same time.

BTW I loved Koenig's spin that it sure was curious that right after the Foley story 'comes out' (apparently a rumor started on the bunka equals a breaking story), then suddenly we learn that Robinson's eligibility is in question. Always the victim?

Here's a tip guys: Stop cheating and you won't have to worry about whether you've been victimized or not.

Home of 14 National Championships and the winningest program in college football history. We are everyone's Big Brother, but no one plays the role of Little Brother better than the barners!
More About Me
Remember, I am always completely objective about Alabama. Unfortunately for the barners, I'm also always completely objective about aubarn.
