2006 (Junior): Grant logged significant playing time in his first two seasons at Arkansas, even drawing a few starts along the way. Depth is so solid at cornerback that coaches could moved him to free safety late in the spring in an effort to get their best 11 on the field. He held on to the job in fall camp, despite s strong push from Matt Hewitt. Grant is arguably the team's fastest player.

2004 (Freshman): Grant saw action at cornerback as a true freshman backup.

Personal: Grant chose Arkansas on July 28 on his official visit after being denied admittance by a Georgia committee. He also had scholarship offers from Miami, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee and several others. Grant signed a scholarship offer with Arkansas, not a binding letter of intent. Grant was rated the No. 10 athlete in the country by Rivals.com. The four-star projected cornerback was rated the No. 9 player in Georgia and the No. 67 player in the Southeast by Rivals.com.

The Good: It starts with speed. At the Combine, he ran a 4.37 and a 4.42 40-yard dash. Grant started 22 games at Arkansas. He is a good athlete with good ball-hawking skills (nine interceptions in his career). He played corner early in his career at Arkansas before switching to safety. The Bad: He is not a big hitter and is a drag-down type of safety. He must improve his ability to get off blockers, to change directions and to improve basic technique to match up better in pass coverage. Outlook: He could move to cornerback where his athleticism probably fits best, but he would face a steeper learning curve. His ability to match up in three wideout sets may earn him early playing time. He’s a probable late second day pick and good role player after development.
