Alabama Crimson Tide Record: 6-0 (3-0)
No one is taking things for granted (especially the LSU game) but the road to Pasadena certainly seems four lanes wide at this point.
LSU Tigers Record: 6-1 (3-1)
One thing we learned about LSU last week. Do not compare them to hardware. Les Miles does not want his team called a hammer, or a nail, or, presumably a power sander or a wide-bit drill. I am not sure how Les feels about comparing his team to fast food, so let's go with day-old pizza. Probably not good for you, tougher than you might think and capable of bringing the strong to their knees.
Texas A&M Aggies Record: 5-1 (2-1)
I am not sure that Manziel hasn't done everything he can do on a football field. He should just take the magic act to Vegas and make a hippopotamus disappear or something.
Missouri Tigers Record: 6-0 (2-0)
If Mizzou had not lost quarterback James Franklin, they would be the favorite in the East right now. As it is, I am not sure they can avoid two losses, which would put Georgia back in the best position.
Georgia Bulldogs Record: 4-2 (3-1)
Gary Pinkel's remark that "they didn't have any injuries on defense" was probably, the hardest hit the Bulldogs have taken all year. Also the truest.
South Carolina Gamecocks Record: 5-1 (3-1)
The Gamecocks at least have a small opening in the East with Georgia's loss but need more help and it is hard to see where it will come from.
Florida Gators Record: 4-2 (3-1)
I never knew the Florida offense was an arm of the federal government but it has clearly been shut down.
Auburn Tigers Record: 5-1 (2-1)
I don't think AU wins in College Station, but if it does, a 10-win season is legitimately in reach.
Ole Miss Rebels Record: 3-3 (1-3)
Hugh Freeze got in a shouting match with a Rebel fan after last Saturday's loss, proving that the Kardashians have nothing on Mississippi when it comes to short honeymoons.
Tennessee Volunteers Record: 3-3 (0-2)
The Vols have booked a 2016 game at a NASCAR track. Hopefully they will be able to get out of the pits by then.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Record: 3-3 (0-2)
Narrowly avoided a loss to Bowling Green, for which the rest of the SEC sends thanks to Starkville.
Vanderbilt Commodores Record:3-3 (0-3)
The evidence is in. Vandy hit its high-water mark last year and James Franklin now has to decide if that is enough, or look for another job where he can accomplish more while he is still a relatively hot commodity.
Arkansas Razorbacks Record: 3-4 (0-3)
There comes a point where doubt starts creeping in. Arkansas reached that point a week ago. Now, doubt is coming in like the zombies in "World War Z."
Kentucky Wildcats Record: 1-5 (0-3)
The only thing better than the upcoming open week for UK would be six open weeks.
