HONOLULU | The University of Alabama women's basketball team won its first game of the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Invitational with a 58-47 victory over Cincinnati on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

"This was a good game for us," Alabama (8-3) coach Wendell Hudson said. "We played two real good teams in a row in Virginia and Cincinnati. I thought everyone gave great effort and really played together as a team."

Junior Jasmine Robinson and redshirt sophomore Kaneisha Horn scored 12 points apiece to lead all scorers while senior Alicia Mitcham added another 11 points for the Tide. Horn also chipped in a game-high nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Alabama will play Long Island-Brooklyn at 6:30 tonight.
