TUSCALOOSA | Andrew Bone, who has covered University of Alabama football recruiting for almost a decade, will join the Tidesports.com staff as the chief recruiting analyst starting July 1.

Bone, who will join senior recruiting analyst Aaron Suttles in covering UA recruiting on the Tidesports.com website, comes to Tidesports.com from FoxSports/Scout.com, where he has covered recruiting since 2003. His recruiting coverage will be available online to Tidesports.com subscribers, and Bone will also write a regular recruiting notebook for The Tuscaloosa News. Bone wrote a weekly recruiting notebook for The Tuscaloosa News from 2004 through March of 2011, and his work also appeared online on the Tidesports.com and TideSportsExtra websites.

His daily recruiting content will be available online to Tidesports.com subscribers.

Bone, 27, was promoted to assistant regional manager in 2008 for FoxSports/Scout.com, covering high school prospects in 10 states, and has been one of the most productive recruiting content producers in the nation during that span. His integrity gained the respect of high school and college coaches, and he has provided subscribers with a valued, trusted source for recruiting information.

Bone also produces the South Showcase Combines for high school athletes in an area that spans five states and continues to grow.

Bone ranks the high school players in the state of Alabama with "Bone's Best" top players as the most read and respected ranking in the region. His travels also take him across the Southeast to watch players in person at camps, combines and weekly football games for video. He has become a fixture at post-season All-Star events.

"Bone's Bulletin Board" has become a daily read for online subscribers. The segment includes headline news across the region, including commitments and newsworthy Twitter feeds.

Bone is also one of the most popular guest speakers for alumni groups in the Southeast, and appears weekly on numerous radio shows and television programs in the region. His multimedia recruiting coverage expands 10 states.
