March 28, 2012TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama went through the seventh of 15 spring practices Wednesday, in full pads, at the Thomas-Drew practice facility. Here are some observations from the media viewing period from Tidesports.com:
*** WR DeAndrew White looked like he was moving around much better Wednesday. White has been hampered by a hamstring problem that limited him during individual drills Monday, but the injury hasn't prevented him from suiting up in white each day.
*** Nothing new on the injury front for UA. RBs Eddie Lacy and Blake Sims continue to be withheld from contact, as does reserve OL Arie Kouandjio.
*** Suspended wide receivers Duron Carter, Michael Bowman, and Ronald Carswell continue to miss practice.
*** Visitors to Wednesday's practice included former UA defenders Jerrell Harris, Dont'a Hightower, Courtney Upshaw and Dre Kirkpatrick. Also on hand was former UA offensive line coach Joe Pendry, who was trading stories with former UA center and assistant coach Sly Croom.
*** The first offensive line had no changes today: from left to right - Cyrus Kouandjio, Chance Warmack, Barrett Jones, Anthony Steen and D.J. Fluker.
*** Watch for subscriber's choice video that we like to call Crimson Close-up on incoming freshman LB Ryan Anderson coming up soon.
