BOL Staff
This year, the BOL weekly picks contest contains elements from last year's version with a twist: It's pretty much everybody against everybody. Like last year, two BOL subscribers will pick for the Crimson and White teams, respectively, each week. At the end of the year, a member of the winning team will be drawn and receive a free one-year subscription to BOL.
Now for the twist: If the losing team finishes ahead of two of the three BOL staff members -- Chris Walsh, T.G. Paschal and Travis Reier -- in the picks, a member of that team will receive a free BOL subscription as well. So, basically, if both teams finish in the top three, one member from each will get a free year of BOL.
Here is this week's slate of games:
Chattanooga at Alabama Chris Walsh, BOL: Even though Chattanooga has a former Tennessee quarterback who transferred, Alabama is on the cusp of a special season and will want the seniors to enjoy their last game at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Prediction: Alabama 42, Chattanooga 9
Travis Reier, BOL: The last time these teams met, Alabama was in the process of running the table during the 1994 regular season. The Tide eventually fell to Florida in the SEC championship game. History will repeat itself on Saturday. As for the next few weeks, only time will tell. Prediction: Alabama 45, Chattanooga 6
T.G. Paschal, BOL: Well, if you want to see the Crimson Tide starters play this weekend don't blink. The Tide will play everybody that is not redshirted and get an expected big win on Senior Day. Prediction: Alabama 52, Chattanooga 10
johnsonw, BOL Round Table Crimson Team: Bama rolls easily. UA will establish the tone early and after TDs on the first 4 drives, all of the younger guys will get significant playing time. Prediction: Alabama 52, Chattanooga 12
Ducky Lee, BOL Round Table White Team: Early showers for first team. Great send off for our seniors! Prediction: Alabama 55, Chattanooga 3
