Alabama kicker Leigh Tiffin has been treated and released from DCH Medical Center after an alleged assault.

Tuscaloosa Police are investigating the incident, which occurred early Wednesday morning in downtown Tuscaloosa.

No arrests have been made.

"It was a simple assault," said TPD Capt. Greg Kosloff. "A misdemeanor and we have no suspects. There was a witness who observed it, but [Tiffin] is not being implicated in any way."

Kosloff said Tiffin's injuries are minor.
