Inconsistency plagues AU offense, again
Auburn's offense couldn't get anything going in the first 30 minutes of the game Saturday in Oxford, Miss.
And that may be an understatement.
The Tigers managed just 28 yards on 14 plays in the first quarter, 52 yards on 16 plays in the second. By halftime, Auburn trailed 10-0, had amassed just 80 yards of total offense and hadn't even crossed midfield.
Auburn's running game was non-existent. The passing game was, too. The Tigers averaged less than one yard per rush in the first quarter, and then added just 28 yards on nine carries in the second. Quarterback Kodi Burns was 8-of-14 for 49 yards at the break.
