Top 2010 QB impressed with A&M camp
Houston Second Baptist quarterback Connor Wood still has two years of high school football remaining before he even sets foot on a college campus.
However, Wood is already as immersed into the recruiting process as any junior prospect could be. He has only himself to blame since he's already the size of many college signal callers (6-4, 201 pounds) and has already thrown for about 3,500 yards in his high school career.
By the end of this summer, Wood will have attended half a dozen camps around the country in order to get a better feel for some of the colleges that are looking at him and improve his game. This past weekend, Wood participated in Texas A&M's one-day mini-camp.
Wood is gaining heavy interest from Texas A&M, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU and Baylor. Players in the class of 2010 cannot be officially offered a scholarship until Sept. 1, 2008.
