Smith ends season, turns attention to UA
With a loss Friday night, UA commit and Musselman High School (Bunker Hill, Va.) kicker Corey Smith closed the door on a record-setting senior season and career and now prepares for the next chapter of his life as a January enrollee at the Capstone.
This Friday night in a loss to Martinsburg which ended Smith's season, the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder went out with a bang, drilling a 52-yard field goal in a cold, wet drizzle.
Smith broke one record last week as he took the lead for field goals made in a season. Friday's bomb added to the record which officially stands at 13.
Smith selected Alabama over offers from West Virginia and Virginia.
