So, is it safe to say that Dantrell Savage is fully healthy now?
After being hampered early in the season with groin issues - he only had 55 yard rushing in the Georgia game before sitting out contests against Florida Atlantic and Troy - Savage has spent the last month ripping off big runs and piling up yardage like a squirrel storing nuts for the winter.
After his mammoth 212-yard day against Nebraska on Saturday, the Georgian now has 622 yards on the season - 452 of those coming in Big 12 games. Those numbers seem to back up just how important he is to the Cowboys' offensive attack. Since his return against Texas Tech, the unit has met the goal Mike Gundy and Co. aim for every game, that being 200 yards passing and 200 rushing. Against the Cornhuskers, the offense put up 318 yards rushing and 234 yards passing.
The Pokes enjoy depth and talent at the skill positions and Adarius Bowman received much of the pre-season hype - and deservedly so. Still, the most important cog on this offense is arguably Savage, who has some of the sharpest cuts and jukes amongst college running backs today.
