Ashcraft open to all suitors
The Cedar Hill Longhorns' run to the Class 5A state title last season was punctuated by the spectacular play of quarterback William Cole and a defense that featured several Division I prospects such as current senior Jarvis Humphrey.
Often overlooked, however, was the play of a dominant offensive line that featured Baylor signee John Jones. Observers also couldn't help but notice the play of the guy lined up next to Jones. He was an outstanding player in his own right, but received little fanfare and was a virtual unknown since he was only a sophomore.
Now in his junior year, Thomas Ashcraft no longer has to worry about a lack of attention. Ashcraft's play last year has resulted in him obtaining six offers since September 1, the first day written offers could be extended, which rivals the lists of many senior linemen.
He has offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
