Green confident of Michigan visit
The return of Vance Bedford to the Michigan coaching staff adds yet another link to the Wolverines' national championship season of 1997. It also brings back the only defensive position coach in the nation who tutored a Heisman Trophy winner in the season he won the award. That fact impresses recruits like Robby Green.
The 6-0, 175-pound Green hails from John Curtis High School in River Ridge, La., and is ranked as the No. 17 cornerback prospect in the country.
Listed as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, Green narrowed his list of offers down to a more manageable group earlier this month. He said the number of schools he is looking at now is at nine and includes Michigan, LSU, Alabama, Penn State, Florida, Arizona State, Tennessee, USC and Ole Miss.
