Standout commits to UA
The 2008 class in Alabama looks to be the strongest in recent memory and Nick Saban and staff have wasted little time in securing the pledges of some of the top targets. Heading into the weekend the Tide had landed verbal commitments from three in-state players and on Saturday Woodlawn standout Undra Billingsley became the fourth.
"I told coach Saban after practice in his office that I was ready to commit. Alabama was the place for me and where I felt at home. He and Coach Steele jumped up and got real excited. That made me feel very welcome and I knew I made the right decision," Billingsley said. "I've felt like Alabama was the place for me for a while and after seeing them today during their practice I knew that it was a great choice and I wanted to go ahead and make sure I had a spot.
