Multliple sources have now confirmed that the University of Alabama has extended an offer to West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez to become the next head football coach for the Crimson Tide.

Rodriguez was scheduled to be to Jacksonville, Florida today for a Gator Bowl function and is expected to have an answer for Alabama soon.

Meanwhile, The Miami Herald is reporting that Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban was offered the job earlier this week by Alabama but declined the offer and has informed his players and team owner Wayne Huiezenga that is not leaving.

Terms and figures for both Saban's offer and Rodriguez's offer are unclear at this point.
