For Temple, the time is now

PowerMizzou.com Of all the players to step on Faurot Field over the years, there may not be one who has carried with him the weight of expectation quite like Tony Temple.
The first ever to start as a true freshman at Rockhurst. A scholarship offer from Mizzou before his sophomore season. Top 100 recruit in the country. The No. 8 running back in his class. The hometown kid who chose to stay in-state. Touted as perhaps the best ever to come out of Kansas City.
After two college seasons, Temple has 87 carries for 450 yards and three touchdowns. That was a good week for him in high school. For all the angst among Tiger fans, none have been as disappointed as Temple himself.
"It's pretty frustrating based on how I know my performance should be," he said after practice on Monday. "I have a really high standard."
Temple is ready.
